Career Summary

Mr. Abdul Halim is working in CEGIS since 2015 as a soil scientist and agriculturist. His main task is to work in a multidisciplinary team for conducting IEE and EIA studies of various development projects. As an EIA team member, his major working areas are EIA data collection, report preparation, and associated mathematical analysis. Concept paper writing for new projects for the agriculture division. As a EIA team member, he has worked on a variety of projects (e.g. Power plant, River dredging, Gas transmission line, Power transmission line, Port development etc). Besides this, he has an opportunity to work in some planning level work (Comparative study of tannery estates, structural intervention in haor ecosystem, CC Forecasting & Participatory Scenario Development etc) for the Government of Bangladesh. Mr. Abdul Halim has good knowledge of different application packages (e.g. MS Access, MS, Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint etc).

He has strong data analysis ability and can work in STATA and GIS software.  Before joining this organization, he was working as a Research Assistant (from July 2014 to September 2015) in the Department of Soil, Water and Environment, University of Dhaka, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of Bangladesh; where his main job was field sample and data collection, sample analysis, statistical analysis, and report write up.

Masters of Science in Soil, Water and Environment (Focal area: Soil Science), Faculty of Biological Science, the University of Dhaka in 2013; Bachelor of Science in Soil, Water and Environment, Faculty of Biological Science, the University of Dhaka in 2012.
