Mowmita Taher has been working with CEGIS since August 2022 on different projects related to Water Resources Engineering and Management, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities, Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), IWRM Action Plans, and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA). She has working experience with several hydrologic and hydrodynamic models such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWAT, SWAT-CUP, and cloud-based geoprocessing tools like Google Earth Engine, as well as engineering design tools such as AutoCAD and ArcGIS.
She was involved in several national-level initiatives, including the ESIA study and conservation plan for the integrated development of the Goranchatbari retention pond in Dhaka city; Integrated water resources management and related policy analysis, the assessment of opportunities for climate-resilient public service provision, and the Integrated Water Resources Management Plan (IWRMP) for 39 Unions and 2 Paurashavas in Naogaon and Satkhira Districts. Additionally, she has worked on rural water supply and sanitation development projects and has experience in canal/khal design for irrigation systems. Rehabilitation/renovation projects.
