Ms. Sumiaya Amin Preota has been working with CEGIS since February 2021. In the very beginning, she worked in the Remote Sensing division, and currently, she is working as a Research Consultant in Water Resource Management Division. Though she is assigned to Water Resource Management Division, she frequently contributes to different interdivisional projects.
Within this short time, she has been involved in some remarkable national projects such as the Identification and revitalization of springs for the Chittagong Hill Tracts, the Coastal embankment improvement project (CEIP-II), Managed aquifer recharge in Barind Tracts, Improvement of navigation in the Coastal area, etc. In these projects, she has gathered vast experience and is dedicatedly involved in using different Remote Sensing-GIS and mathematical modeling tools i.e., ArcGIS, ERDAS Imagine, QGIS, ENVI, SWAT, Delft3D, SLIDE, GMS, etc.
She has received training on Groundwater resources management, monitoring & modeling, and the Introduction & Application of Remote sensing.
