Prior to his joining at CEGIS Mr. Mahmudul Islam had been serving in public bureaucracy for about 33 years. Started career under the then Ministry of PT&T he served for a decade in the erstwhile Board of Investment under PMO. After serving at the Chief Advisor’s Office under Care Taker Government he also served at the Prime Minister’s Office as Director and liaises with different ministries within assigned area.
He retired from the Civil Service as Additional Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh. His last portfolio was Development Wing at the Ministry of Water Resources.
Before joining the Ministry of Water Resources Mr. Islam served at the Ministry of Education after successful completion of 5 years’ tenure in Bangladesh Embassy in Madrid, Spain as counselor.
