Research, Development and Training Division

Research is an integral part of CEGIS activities. To keep up-to-date and to make project related assessments it is essential to update skills and develop new tools. In order to perform its activities in an effective manner the capacities of the professionals at CEGIS are enhanced with the help of research outputs and training.

This Division organises the trainings offered by CEGIS to professionals of different government and non-governmental agencies in the field of water resources, environment, GIS and RS. The Division also provides a scope for internship to encourage both national and international students of graduate and post-graduate levels.

  • Conducts innovative research in fields of natural resources management, socio-economic pressures on livelihoods, disaster management, community based early warning of flood, climate change etc. Conducts topographic survey using Total Station and DGPS. Support other divisions with better solutions Training on GIS, remote sensing, IWRM and S/EIA to professionals both at home and abroad.
