Mr. Hossain has strong working experience in water resources, hydrology, hydrologic and hydrodynamic modeling flood early warning, climate change, and disaster risk reduction related activities. He has been working with CEGIS since 2007. He has working experience on hydrological analysis, hydrodynamic and hydrological modeling in software like SWAT, HEC-HMS, SOBEK, etc, Climate modeling using PRECIS regional climate model, assessment of hydrologic impacts under climate change scenarios, and other water resources related analysis. Recently he completed basin level hydrologic modeling and analysis for the whole GBM basin under climate change scenario, Flood hydrology study for RAJUK etc. He has long working experience on community-based flood early warning dissemination projects financed by BWDB and USAID. He has gathered sound technical knowledge in Flood risk management from the Netherlands and other EU countries. Besides he has worked in several climate change-related studies which mostly focused on vulnerability assessment due to climate change in various sectors like water resources, agriculture, etc.
